In 2016, Westwood band student Ethan Lao started the Westwood Sax Ensemble, bringing saxophonists together to perform Christmas music across Austin and raise money for Dell Children’s Hospital. After Ethan graduated, we—current students and alumni—kept the tradition alive. Though live performances paused in 2020, we returned in 2021, playing at both familiar and new venues, including The Arboretum, Lone Star Court Hotel, and The Driskill.

Despite our busy marching season and competitive high school schedules, we look forward to spreading holiday cheer throughout Austin each December. We're passionate about giving back to the community through our love of music!
